Getting started with QuizzyApp

QuizzyApp turns study material into timed quizzes you can be tested on — alone against the clock, live against a class, or inside a study group. This guide gets you from a blank screen to your first finished attempt.

Create an account

Sign up with an email address and password, or with a Google account. It is free, and no card is asked for. One account covers the website (web.quizzyapp.net) and the Android and iOS apps; your XP, streaks, results and downloads follow you between them, so you can start a quiz on a laptop and review it on your phone.

Two things about sign-in are worth knowing up front:

One device at a time. Signing in somewhere new ends the previous session. If you sign in on your phone, the browser session on your laptop will end; sign in again there when you go back.
Google accounts have no password. If you signed up with Google, always use "Continue with Google". "Forgot password" cannot help, because there is nothing to reset.

After signing up you are asked to complete a short profile — a username and, if you like, a picture. The username is what appears on leaderboards and in circle chats. If you would rather not be seen there, you can switch on Anonymous on leaderboards in Settings at any time.

The four main screens

Everything in the app is reached from four tabs.

Home

Your dashboard: current streak, XP, quick actions, the day's daily challenge, and any attempt you left partway through so you can pick up where you stopped. It is also where the app points you back at the topics you keep getting wrong once it has seen a few attempts.

Explore

The catalogue. Browse by subject and topic, see what went live recently and what was most played in the last seven days, search quizzes, collections and topics by name, and follow the creators whose material you keep coming back to. Paid quizzes and collections sit alongside free ones; a price is always shown before you commit to anything.

Events

Live competitions — the ones you have joined, the ones you are hosting, and public ones you can still enter. Scheduled events show a countdown and a lobby; open-window events can be joined any time while they run.

Hub

Your account: profile and statistics, play history, downloads (Premium, in the mobile apps), referrals, purchases, subscription, notifications and settings. If you create quizzes, the Studio lives here too — content, analytics, collaborators, earnings and withdrawals.

What is free

Playing is free. So is creating up to ten quizzes, joining study circles, competing in events, battling head-to-head, and the daily challenge. The free tier is funded by advertising.

Premium removes every ad and adds the tools that cost us money to run: AI quiz drafting, offline downloads, unlimited quiz creation, hosting live competitions, collections, image questions, co-authors and AI explanations. Five things to try first

Play one quiz. Open Explore, pick your subject and take any quiz in Quiz mode. Afterwards open the review and read the explanations for the ones you missed. That loop — attempt, review, retry — is the whole point. How playing works.
Do today's daily challenge. One short set, the same for everyone, new every day. It takes about two minutes and starts your streak. How XP and streaks work.
Join or start a study circle. If a classmate has given you a six-character invite code, enter it under Circles. If not, browse public circles in Discover or create your own and share the code. Study circles.
Create a quiz. Studio walks you through it — title, questions, rules of play, publish. Your first ten are free. Creating a quiz.
Challenge someone. A head-to-head battle is ten questions, fifteen seconds each, against a friend with a room code or whoever is online. Battles.

If something goes wrong

The support page answers the questions we get most — sign-in problems, payments that have not activated, attempts that ended unexpectedly. For anything else, email support@quizzyapp.net with your username and what you expected to happen.
