Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

• You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure.
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.
• You may not impersonate another person, share your account, or create accounts to evade enforcement actions.

You retain ownership of the quizzes, collections, comments, reviews, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant QuizzyApp a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and adapt your User Content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you publish on the Service and for complying with our Community Guidelines.

You agree not to:

• Cheat, manipulate scores, or use unauthorized automation (including AI tools to answer during live events).
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, or that harasses other users.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, including by scraping at a rate that disrupts other users.
• Use the Service to send spam, run pyramid schemes, or advertise unrelated products.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

• Premium subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Event entry fees are paid up-front when you join a paid event. The host may offer prizes funded by these fees, less platform and processing fees.
• Creator payouts are made to verified creators after fees and any applicable taxes. Payouts may be delayed or held if we suspect fraud or chargeback risk.
• All amounts are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise. Currency conversion fees, where applicable, are borne by the user's payment provider.

• Premium subscriptions: Refunds are not provided for the current billing period after it has started, except where required by applicable law.
• Event entry fees: Fees are refundable only if the event is cancelled by the host or by us before it begins. Once an event starts, entry fees are non-refundable.
• If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at iezediba@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge.

The free tier of the Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense and other partners. Premium subscribers and admins do not see ads. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising data is used.

We use automated and manual measures to detect cheating (including tab-switch detection, watermarked sessions, and anomaly scoring). We may invalidate scores, remove leaderboard placements, withhold prize payouts, and suspend accounts that violate fair-play rules.

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and the QuizzyApp name, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by these Terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that User Content is accurate. Quiz content is created by users; verify important information with authoritative sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuizzyApp will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) NGN 10,000.

You can stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for material violations of these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give you notice in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service may be brought in the competent courts located in Lagos, Nigeria.
